How to Create a Flat World in Minecraft Bedrock and Java Editions

  2. On the World Selection screen, press the Create New World button.
  3. On the Create World screen, select the More World Options button.
  4. Press the “World Type” button until it reads “Superflat”. This should usually only take one press of the button.
  5. If you want to further customize your super flat world, press the Customize button and select the layers you want your world to consist of. Click on Done.
  6. Enter a name for your world and set up the rest of its parameters, including the structures created and the presence of the bounty chest. then press “Create a new world“To create the new super flat world. Once you are done, you should be placed in the new world automatically.

Steps to Create a Flat World in Minecraft Bedrock Edition

  1. Start Minecraft and select “Run” in the main menu.
  2. In the world selection, press the “Create New” button.
  3. Once you get to the Create a New World screen, go to the menu on the right under Game Settings.
  4. Scroll down until you find the setting that reads “Universal Type,” press that button and change the type from infinite to flat.
  5. Fill in the rest of your parameters for the world and choose the settings you want. Once everything is complete, press the “Create” button on the left-most menu under the Minecraft world image. After a generation, you will fall into the flat world and you can play right away.

Although flat worlds may not suit every player’s taste, it’s worth a try at the very least. This is especially true for players who enjoy the creative mode, where the global genre offers them unlimited building space without the need to clear the ground.
